Choices is an engaging, entertaining production with lights, sound, and music designed to open students' minds to the topic at hand: their choices.
Choices are part of the fabric of al our lives, and students are flooded with new, exciting choices every day. Many of the choices they make in these crucial, impressionable years are wonderful for their development. Some are relatively insignificant. Some, however, can be devastating.
I discuss the importance of making positive choices, every day, to ensure a positive future.
Why Drums?
Everyone can relate to music.
I intentionally begin every presentation with a dynamic musical performance with the goal of knocking down barriers and allowing the students to focus on the message.
I bring the students into the presentation through the concert, then share stories about the effects of positive- and negative- choices.
Why this program?
This is not your average student assembly, and it’s a program you won’t find anywhere else.
It’s not simply an anti-drug talk and it’s not simply a concert. It’s a high-energy, engaging experience that will encourage your students to choose things that will have a positive effect on their lives… and not choose things that could have a devastating effect on their lives.
About Jeff Mozingo
Jeff Mozingo is a seasoned drummer, percussionist, and lifelong music industry professional. After earning a Bachelor of Music in Performance degree at Southeast Missouri State University, Jeff went on to teach percussion and play professionally for over 40 years.
He has played for numerous artists including Sammy Davis Jr., The 5th Dimension, singer/songwriter Mark Roach, and most recently country artist Stephen Martines. He has also played for the St. Louis Philharmonic Orchestra.
In addition to performing, Jeff helped run his family's successful retail music store and lesson studio for over 50 years. He considers his lifelong involvement in many facets of the music industry one of the best choices he's ever made.
